The Durability Collective
We are a community of funders, practitioners, and researchers around the world who are building our collective capability to measure social impact and create change that lasts. Contrary to conventional wisdom, we believe medium- and long-term outcomes measurement can be feasible and cost-effective.
How it works
The Durability Collective’s work is focused on helping the sector improve our ability to measure mid-and long-term outcomes:
Durability Academy
Providing deep expertise openly and collaboratively
- Durability Academy is a two-year program for nonprofits and social impact organizations seeking to build their Durability capabilities.
- Through plenary sessions and individual coaching workshops, organizations work to deepen their ability to measure, analyze, and act on Durability data.
Research
Transforming sector standards and building shared knowledge
- The Collective is dedicated to understanding Durable impact, specifically how to to accelerate and sustain living wage attainment and personal well-being.
- Initial research topics will include how the impact of interventions on people’s livelihoods varies by participant profile, and tracking of progress towards breaking intergenerational poverty.
Thought leadership and advocacy
Making Durability mainstream
- The Collective is focused on community building and knowledge sharing to increase interest and awareness of Durability.
- We will build momentum through social media, publications, webinars, and convenings, sharing what we learn and engaging in dialogue to move Durability concepts forward.
Inaugural Members
The Durability Academy
Durability Academy is a multi-year program for nonprofits seeking to advance in their data capabilities to measure long-term change and use it to improve their interventions. The Academy runs in a cohort model, with each cohort comprising 5-6 nonprofits.
To date, participating nonprofit organizations have had associated costs covered by their funders.
